Below is a rough guide of what people need to bring open on our courses.
Paddle courses:
Paddling kit to be on and in the water all day (Wetsuit or Drysuit or similar), bring any rescue kit you may use on a day out.
A (craft) (We can provide boats - but we need to know in advance)
Lunch and drinks
Hill skills/ navigation:
For the course you will need to bring with you:
Suitable backpack to carry all your kit
Suitable non-restrictive clothing including warm layers, windproof jacket
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Hat and gloves / suncream (weather dependent)
Suitable footwear with ankle support. Walking boots recommended
Parking fee (if required)
Food and drink for a full day of activity
(We can provide some equipment at request, but we will need to know in advance)
Maps, Compasses and Safety Equipment will all be provided by us.
Rock skills:
For the course you will need to bring with you:
Suitable non-restrictive clothing including warm layers, windproof jacket
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Parking fee (if required)
Food and drink for a full day of activity
Sensible footwear - trainers, walking boots (no crocs/ flip flops)
Harnesses, Helmets and Safety Equipment will be provided.
Learn to Lead
For the course you will need to bring with you:
Suitable non-restrictive clothing including warm layers, windproof jacket
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Parking fee (if required)
Food and drink for a full day of activity
A suitable climbing harness and belay device.
A suitable climbing helmet.
Sensible footwear - Climbing shoes, trainer, walking boots (no crocs/ flip flops)
Ropes and safety equipment will be provided.
